Taking a walk is what we always do together at night. Me, The Husband and Jody. It’s a great way to unwind from a long day at work, chit chatting and watching silly Jody and her actions.
There was once we threw her poop into the dustbin and the rusty rotating top went “eee wuuu eee wuuu”. She was scared and kept looking around for the sound. We couldn’t resist and we pushed the top again. When she realized its the dustbin making the noise, she stood there watching it fearfully. Über cute!
If we were to go down really late, we would let her go off leash since no one would be around. She ignored our calls once so we walked off to the nearest bench to rest while waiting for her to finish her inspection of the grass.
Upon realizing we are no longer standing beside her, she panicked and ran and ran and ran right pass us before catching our scent and ran back to us. It was evil of us but we did it again because it was so funny!
So the second time she ignored our calls, we hid behind trees and the moment she realized we were missing again, she ran and ran pass our trees only to stop when she heard my laughter.
Didn’t do it again though - was scared she’d run and run and we would lost her.
But once I was watching over her when The Husband walked off. I called out o Jody asking, “daddy where? Go find daddy!” Her cute little face was tensed up as she sniffed the air and listened for The Husband’s voice.
Somewhere in the distance some male was talking on the phone and Jody mistook it as Daddy and she took off in the direction of the noise. I called her back saying “not daddy!” and she ran back, listened and took off in the same direction and the husband went, “Jody!” and she immediately turned and ran straight to him, tail wagging.
The Husband was not amused though. He said that he used to think people who call themselves daddy and mommy to their dog are not right in their mind… And yet now he’s also daddy to Jody.
Haha, too bad. Hello daddy!
